DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering reconstructs motor vehicle collisions through a team approach by involving senior-level and associate-level engineering staff on each assignment. Our associate engineers play a critical role in conducting fieldwork and performing analysis using the latest technologies in 3D laser scanning, drones, and computer simulations. They also work closely with our senior engineers in presenting accurate and compelling results to our clients, and at times, supporting our senior engineers who are asked to testify in court. 


Job Description


DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering reconstructs motor vehicle collisions through a team approach by involving senior-level and associate-level engineering staff on each assignment. Our associate engineers play a critical role in conducting fieldwork and performing analysis using the latest technologies in 3D laser scanning, drones, and computer simulations. They also work closely with our senior engineers in presenting accurate and compelling results to our clients, and at times, supporting our senior engineers who are asked to testify in court. 


We are actively seeking an energetic Associate Engineer for our Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Denver offices. This opportunity involves regional travel. The candidate must enjoy working in a high-energy environment and being outdoors. 


Skills and Qualifications


  • M.S. (preferred) or B.S. in Automotive Engineering or similar discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) with an emphasis on the mobility industry
  • Knowledge in the areas of:
    • Vehicle dynamics 
    • Automotive controls
    • Vehicle data networks
    • Advanced driver assist systems 
    • Autonomous vehicles
    • Vehicle repair/maintenance
  • Experience in the use of CAD, 3D solid modeling, and point clouds is highly desired
  • Available for an average of 50% regional travel
  • Comfortable working on a team and in a collaborative space
  • Positive attitude full of commitment and a desire to contribute
  • Ability and desire to learn
